"Whoever says "I know him" but does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him, but whoever keeps his word, in him truly the love of God is perfected. By this we may know that we are in him: whoever says he abides in him ought to walk in the same way in which he walked." 1 John 2:4-6
What a challenge! We are not saved by our works (Eph. 2:9) but our works do evidence a change in our lives. To the world around us, we need to be living proof that Jesus lives and is the Christ because of the way we live. In our pursuit of being "little christs" and followers of Him, we need to live like He lived.
Does the way you respond to tough situations reflect Christ?
Do you treat your parents the way Christ would have treated Joseph and Mary as a child?
Do you show respect to your elders, selflessness to your little siblings, and care for the sick the way our Lord did?
Do you treat the lost with the same compassion?
You are the only bible some people will ever read. Show them that the truth is really true because it is true in your life.
